E ‘can save money and at the same time, continue to produce renewable energy? In asking this question will be experts from around the world to the next Italian Pv Summit, now in its fourth edition, held in Verona near Hotel Verona Centro on May 7 and 8, before the opening of the thirteenth edition of the international exhibition and conference Solarexpo. Europe, USA and China will compare the competitiveness’ of the global market for photovoltaics and access to markets and competitive rules. And on key issues, such as the thrust of technological innovation to the fall in prices towards grid parity, strategic industrial policies, export promotion and assistance of state and non-discriminatory access to domestic markets. In this context, the ‘ Italian PV Summit will place ‘attention to the issue of technology roadmap and manufacturing costs, the trade policies of the leaders of the global photovoltaics, the position of the international photovoltaic industry associations and the position of policy makers. ” Recent reports – said Guido Agostinelli, Managing Partner, Syntegra Solar – the difficulty ‘of some of the largest financial industrial groups in the European photovoltaic industry, the impact of a story like that Q-cells, a world leader until a few years ago, has begun the process of insolvency, are just the tip of the iceberg of a reorganization of the system due to a crisis of excess capacity ‘that probably will last’ a couple of years and that also affects Chinese companies’
